My relationship with Facebook has been somewhat rocky. Oh it was blissful in the beginning. I signed up using my college e-mail address and started adding all my friends. I had been burned by my last social network as it was getting to commercial. We were just growing apart and then Facebook came along providing exclusivity.Â
Then I started getting "poked" and ninjas, zombies and pirates started attacking me! I was confused, scared and a little annoyed. Why was Facebook allowing this to happen? I was frustrated and maybe acted a little harshly when I gave Facebook the silent treatment for a few months. It wasn't until I realized that these were all just growing pains. Facebook wasn't perfect, but it was trying.Â
We started talking again. I've learned to accept and look past all the pokes and flying ninjas. I now look for the good qualities in Facebook, like opening up an API to allow 3rd parties to program useful apps :), which has made our relationship even that much stronger. Facebook... I love you.
If you really want me to count the ways, well there's 10 right here in John Jantsch's post Top 10 Business Applications for Facebook. There are some great apps to use for all types of businesses!
