For the week of December 14 - December 20, 2015, U.S. brands and properties captured 62.5 million total actions (likes and retweets) from tweets published on Twitter. Powered by Shareablee data, the top brand on Twitter for each respective industry is shown in the ranking below. NFL (Sports) was the top brand in the ranking with more than 647,000 Twitter actions, followed by Bleacher Report (Media Publisher) with more than 565,000 actions. NFL's top tweets were instant replays and video recaps of New York Giants player Odell Beckham, Jr. Bleacher Report captured the most retweets on Twitter of any brand in the top ten, seeing the most engagement come from video posts on NBA greats Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.
Of the top performing brands, Kit Kat (Consumer Goods), a newcomer to the ranking, scored the number three spot in the ranking. This was largely driven by a tweet featuring packaging customized with One Direction's bandmates, which brought in more than 204,000 likes and retweets.
