For the week of June 6 - June 12, 2016, U.S. brands and properties captured 774 million likes and comments on posts published on Instagram. Powered by Shareablee data, the top brand on Instagram for each respective industry is shown in the ranking below.
National Geographic (Media Publisher) topped the ranking with nearly 22 million Instagram actions, topped by underwater shots of a harp seal, Makaha water woman and a whale to celebrate World Oceans Day on June 8. The NBA (Media Publisher) came in second with nearly 17 million likes and comments on Instagram, led by posts from the current and past #NBAFinals.
Anastasia Beverly Hills (Consumer Goods) was No. 3 in the ranking with 5.5 million actions led by posts featuring user-contributed videos of makeup tutorials. Of the top performing brands, Lamborghini (Auto) saw the most growth in Instagram actions over the previous week with a 163% increase in likes and comments driven by a 207% increase in Instagram posts, with top videos led by posts following the 50th Anniversary Miura Tour.
