With the holiday season fast approaching, travel brands are working hard to maximize their results, reaching out to prospective customers with last minute deals and inspiration to help boost conversion.
And with more and more prospective travelers now utilizing digital platforms within their discovery and booking process, it's important for those in the industry to understand the latest trends, and where they can tap into such to meet demand.
To help with this, Facebook recently commissioned Accenture to conduct a survey of 1,054 US leisure travelers who had booked flights, accommodations or trip experiences within the last three months to get some perspective on what helped drive their decisions, and what they expect from travel providers.
The findings present some important considerations, with timeliness being a key. Timeliness, as in right now - holiday-makers are looking to lock in their plans at this moment for early 2019 travel.
