Since its release in October 2016, Instagram Stories has seen a 400% increase in daily active users, with more than 500 million people now using the option every day. The growth of the Stories format has provided a powerful opportunity for marketers and small businesses to reach consumers where they're already active.
In order to help businesses leverage this growth, the team from Animoto have delved into the success of Stories to determine how marketers are using the option, and how businesses can tap into the lessons learned thus far in order to stand out with their own Stories content.
In their research, Animoto found that 74% of marketers post at least two videos to their Instagram Stories each month. Why? Because they’re seeing results - 62% of businesses say a Story prompted a direct message from a customer, helping build a relationship with their brand.
