Paul May took me on a deep dive of his nifty online utility, BuzzStream, which I can best describe as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool for managing influencer relationships.
At its core, BuzzStream is a contact list that maintains information about and other online influencers with whom you want to build and maintain relationships on behalf of your organization or client. Such a database makes perfect sense, since a good PR person will build up scads of good relationships and keeping track of them all can be an overwhelming task.
But it's BuzzStream's automation that makes it particularly useful. Instead of searching for information about a blogger on the "About" page and in sidebars, the software uncovers all that information for you and populates the various fields that make up a record. Each record also maintains a chronology of your contacts with the bloggers, such as tweets and comments.
There's a nice array of other bells and whistles, too.
Paul was kind enough to give me 75 beta invites. I used one so there are 74 left. Leave a comment here or tweet me at @shel. I'll give them out first-come first-served. Pricing for the finished product will range from free for individuals with 25 contacts to $249 per month for 20 users and 10,000 contacts.
