Over at the Intranet Journal they have just published their awards. They asked their readers to nominate then vote on the tools and programs that they think are the best in their field. Readers voted for the Product of the Year in six categories. See below the finalists and winners. The answers are interesting. Im surprised that SocialText and Confluence arent mentioned as Wiki finalists, and slightly bemused that Blogger wins in the blogging software category over Wordpress or TypePad. I realise Google have made improvements to the platform, so I need to go and get myself up to date. Its good to see Blogtronix as a finalist, but I wouldnt particularly have expected it in the wiki category - its a superb hybrid platform, so maybe it should have been in several. Some of these choices probably say something about the typical readership of Intranet Journal, but its interesting to see what enterprise oriented IT professionals are favouring. Here are the awards:
