Meetup.com is one of those things I've been meaning to get involved with for years, but never got around to. Essentially it's a collection of groups and communities centred around just about every topic and hobby under the sun, who organise online but then meet up in real life.
I spotted this Meetup.com video on Chris Brogan's website and found it kind of endearing. As Chris says, meetup has bags of potential but is more often than not overlooked by marketers.
