Once you have the new profile design, your most recent pins will automatically be featured across the top of your page. Let’s take a look at how to get the pins you want to be featured at the top.
How to Feature Your Best Pins on Your Profile
Pinterest gives you a few different options for selecting which pins will be featured in your header image.
Option 1: Latest Pins
Latest Pins will feature the last 24 pins you’ve saved on any board across your Pinterest profile.
Option 2: Recent Activity
Recent Activity will show pins that other users have saved from your site and other accounts you have associated with your Pinterest account.
Option 3: Pick a Board
Pick a Board shows all the pins you have on a specific board. This is the option to use along with Featured Boards to have the consumer focus the most attention on. This board should only contain pins you want to be featured as your cover image and not just another board you already have featured in the slideshow.
When you choose the option to have a certain board or latest pins featured, Pinterest also creates a tab in the upper right corner to send users directly to that area.
Brands like Home Depot have been taking their marketing to the next level with over 100,000 shoppable pins available for customers to browse and save. Remember, anytime a user saves your pin to a board, it becomes one more link back to your site which increases your brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
Pinterest is making massive strides to their platform to be more brand-friendly while helping the consumer get to what they’re interested faster than ever.
If you haven't been taking advantage of everything Pinterest has to offer your business, now may be the time to start.
