Each year, Animoto surveys some 500 marketers in order to learn about emerging video trends, and how they're shaping digital marketing strategy.
One particularly interesting note emerging from this research is that what marketers think they're doing is often different than what they're actually doing. For example, here are some of the key takeaways from our latest report:
- 85% of marketers say that they contemplate how their videos will appear on mobile - yet only 26% are optimizing for mobile by creating square or vertical videos.
- Marketers rated “showcasing personality” and “connecting with customers” as the top reasons they maintain a social media presence - however, their videos are mainly promotional in nature.
- 93% of marketers have landed a new client from a video on social media, yet 75% feel held back when it comes to creating more videos.
It's interesting, and important, to note these contradictions, and consider the same within your process.
