Teens all over the world are licking donuts.
Yes, you read that right. Across the globe, teens everywhere are licking donuts to show their support of popular pop singer, Ariana Grande.
In case you missed it, Grande has been taking heat recently when she was caught on a video that made its way to TMZ licking donuts on the counter of a Los Angeles-based donut shop called Wolfee Donuts. Immediately following her inconsiderate actions, Grande proclaimed that she "hates America," as can be clearly heard in the video, which really got people fired up.
No legal action was taken against Grande, but what her actions did spark was a social media campaign from her fans, who are backing Grande's actions to the hilt.

As if this entire ordeal wasn't ridiculous enough, it gets worse. Social media campaigns, including hashtags like #WeForgiveYouAriana, were created in addition to multiple Instagram and other social media accounts immediately following the incident in support of Grande, including this Instagram account, @lick_donuts_with_ari, which to no one's surprise has a decent following.

Following all of the heat taken by the pop star, her PR team made a desperate attempt to get out in front of the negative publicity, and Grande released a personal video on YouTube called, "sorry babes," apologizing for the whole "donut fiasco." Grande did her best to come off as sincere, but actor Rob Lowe wasn't buying it.
Nonetheless, Grande's fans continue to support her, posting awesome selfies with donuts photoshopped in. This donut-themed meme via the @lick_donuts_with_ari Instagram account happens to be my favorite.
All in all, I'm still puzzled as to if this shows the power of social media or the ignorance of our youth for backing a spoiled entertainer who clearly has no respect for her country or a small business, but I'll let you guys decide. What we do know is that Grande is fighting obesity with one donut lick at a time.
