Stefany Singh
Manager. Digital Strategy and Communications | @SocialMediaStefStefany is a graduate of York University and has a post graduate certificate in Public Relations from Ryerson University. She is completing her Digital Strategy certification at the University of British Colombia and is a candidate for the Executive MBA program at Queen's University. She is currently Manager, Digital Strategy and Communications for the TD Bank Group, TD Asset Management.
At 22 she founded an independent cultural event and television production company, that later expanded to 23 franchises across Canada. Her work garnered local, national and international media coverage, included political invites to Latin American countries during election campaigns and a four year partnership with Universal Studio, Hollywood and the New York Film Academy.
As the lead on all marketing and communications strategies for her company, she has been nominated for the 2005 Canadian Youth Entrepreneur Awards, 2009 Canadian Hispanic Business Awards: Business Woman of the Year and inducted into the Who's Who of International Entrepreneurs 2006/2007, & 2008/2009.
In addition to these and other accolades, she has been honoured by the Defile Republica Dominicana together with the Mayor of Montreal, and by York West MPP Mario Sergio, for her leadership and ability in bringing both national and international recognition to Canada's Latin American population.
Stefany's use of social media as the prime marketing driver for her own company, led to her implementation of social media usage and practice at the Health Council of Canada including the development of social media education for senior management. In this newly developed role she served to educate other government healthcare agencies on digital media usage as an extension to current communication initiatives.
In 2014, Stefany joined the Canadian Tire Corporation as the Manager, Digital Channels. Leading digital strategy for the Corporate Affairs business unit improving how they communicate to stores, in less than three months she rolled out an enterprise wide communication and technology change. Her ability to push through organizational and cultural change led to the promotion of her role and capacity to include the management of the Communications team.
In 2011, Stefany joined Rogers Media as a Digital Engagement Manager. She served as the official Engagement Manager for Roger's Media in house agency styled team, for Procter and Gamble, Ford Canada, Revlon Canada, Pfizer Canada, Johnson and Johnson, and Nestlé Canada teams. Working both client and agency direct, she acted as analyst and strategist on campaign and project feasibility, scope and costs. She assisted in the creation and implementation of the Engagement team process, enabling the digital sales team to better understand how to utilize the role.
Stefany spearheaded the digital development of Ford's Unstoppable Athlete in partnership with Sportsnet. A year long program with a $100,000 digital production budget. She also successfully rebuilt and reinstated the relationship and digital advertising spends with Revlon Canada for over 2 years and 5 campaigns to date.
In her spare time, Stefany enjoys life drawing, yoga, dance, fashion and volunteering her time with organizations that focus on young women. She is a spokesperson for the Dove Girls Conference, and volunteers annually for the Morning for Hope. As an active blogger, she writes about digital communication, strategies and best practices in her blog Life in Digital as well as posting relevant tweets on Twitter.
