Facebook has been voted the social network with the lowest customer service ranking. That's according to the 2011 American Customer Serivice Index (ASCI).
It's an interesting one. Does that go against all the things I (and others!) rant on about the need for great customer service to get on in these ever more competitive times? After all, Facebook is incredibly 'successful'.
Not really. Yes, of course they are successful, but perhaps, when there is little alternative, you can get away with it - certainly in the short term.
However, I can't help thinking that this stuff 'builds up'.
Unhappy and frustrated customers often get even more unhappy and frustrated when they can't do anything about it.
Think Royal Mail, BT and lots of other industries when there was little choice - banks, insurance and domestic energy.
Now that Google + is here it will be interesting to see what happens!
