Culture of Content Creation
The Culture of Content Creation is a video series about people who make their own digital content to share with the world - such as blogs, podcasts, wiki entries, online product reviews or videos - to learn why they do it, what they find rewarding, and how they view their role in the world. Started in early 2008, this cultural media project from Elastic Lab continues today, reflecting changes in technology, knowledge and the social fabric of the Internet.
"This new voice thing," features podcaster and blogger Brad Pendergraph. Brad has been blogging since 2001, but it was only a few years ago that he discovered and began utilizing his actual voice in his Whole Lot of Nonsense PodCast. The goal is to talk with people about making a difference in the community by identifying real things that his listeners can accomplish in their everyday lives. He has had had the opportunity to have discussions with local Presidents of the United Way about homelessness and identify ways to reduce our consumption and carbon footprint. Bascally Brad's goal is to "live the change the he wants to see." This video is a snapshot of his good work online. So sit back and learn how to make a positive change with "This new voice thing."
