I suppose a billion page views is a big deal if you care more about raw tonnage than about targetability and the quality of the impression.
Which is only appropriate, given that the ads promoting this iPod giveaway contest from the Atlanta Journal Constitution, which are plastered all over my MediaPost email newsletters this week, link to an entry form that advises that the contest is only open to residents of Georgia.
I guess AJC figured New York is close enough to Georgia that I might be interested. Yeah sure, I'll download your media kit -- as soon as you figure out how targeted advertising works. Oy!
