Sometimes someone writes something better than you can, so your only job is to share. In this case, the thing to share comes from Marshall Kirkpatrick from ReadWriteWeb, a good source for insight (get the RSS feed if you haven't already). His posting Ten Common Objections to Social Media Adoption and How You Can Respond is like listening to a broken record. If it's not like that for you, it soon will be. As you read Marshall's post, keep Seth's Meatball Sundae in mind. In other words, if your client's company isn't structurally equipped to leverage social media, you should resist the temptation to go in guns blazing. Look at Marshall's possible replies and concessions and tailor your responses to your clients accordingly. If you are the client, that's an entirely different conversation. Give me a call and we'll hash it out.
