If you are a major company, heck if you are a kid selling lemonade on the side of the road, why in the world would you sign a contract with someone to endorse your company and decline to comment about it, as Mike has according to AP?
Maybe I'm confused about the meaning of an endorsement. Mike wants Vick to wear their products and represent their brand. No, I seem to have that right.
I threw this question out on Twitter and one of the responses was "he'll sell product, only reason they'd do it." Fair enough. They are a business. I don't like it, but it's their prerogative (yes, take that Bobby Brown). Maybe it's about second chances. If that's the case, I can almost respect it. But, if that is the case, why not say it? Declining to comment stinks. It reeks of embarrassment. It also, creates another story angle for people to pursue. And that is not a positive angle.
