If you don't have an alternative reader, some popular alternatives are Feedly, Digg Reader and The Old Reader, all which mimic the reading experience of Google Reader pretty faithfully. My personal favorite is paid service Feedbin which costs $2 per month to use (or $20 a year) but allows you to set-up source attribution for easy sharing.
