- Eastman Kodak did not make the cut this year. It was an original member of the Fortune 500, and has been on the list every year since 1955.
- The number one company each year since 1955 has been General Motors, Exxon, or Wal-Mart.
- Priceline.com celebrates their first year on the list.
- If the Fortune 500 were a country, it would be the world's second largest economy, just behind the United States.
- The oldest CEO on the list? Dole Foods' David Murdock at 90 years old.
- The youngest CEO on the list? Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg at 28 years old.
