The free photo sharing program, which allows for instant sharing via many social media channels and who recently passed the 40 million member mark, has become extremely popular in baseball parks across America.
How popular has it become?
Well in just the first four weeks of the 2012 season there has already been more photos posted and shared than in the entire 2011 season as per a study done by VenueSeen.
Apparently the folks by the Bay love Instgram as Giants fans are well ahead of the pack with their fans posting nearly 6,000 photos in the first weeks of the season alone. A beautiful, picturesque stadium certainly helps and also doesn't hurt that Instgram was founded not far from AT&T Park.
The infographic below lists all major league teams in order of number of photos posted via Instagram. It also breaks down some intra-state rivals as well as one of the biggest rivalries in all sports - the Yankees and the Red Sox.
