Meta has announced some new retail pop-ups in the lead-up to Christmas, as it looks to maximize take-up of its latest AI glasses models.
Meta opened its first “Meta Lab” retail store in LA last year, which is still in operation, and will now be joined by an additional Meta Lab outlet in California, as well as new stores in both New York and Las Vegas.

Meta Labs are designed to be a showcase of Meta’s next-level wearables experiences, while also providing a glimpse at the future of Meta’s hardware products.
As explained by Meta:
“An experiential retail space that puts people and community first, Meta Lab is a reinvention of the traditional shopping experience. It’s a lab in the truest sense where we re-think the Meta retail experience, test out new approaches, and learn what works best.”
And Meta will have a heap more products to showcase this year, with the launch of its latest Ray Ban and Oakley AI glasses models, including its recently launched “Display,” which also come with its revolutionary “Neural Band” wrist controller device.

Indeed, Meta says that demand for in-person demos of its Display glasses are already exceeding capacity, with appointments in many major cities booked out through mid-October.
“Luckily, our Meta Lab locations will soon offer a premium demo experience, so whether you live in the metro areas or need an excuse to book a vacation, you can soon check out the most advanced AI glasses we’ve ever sold. Select Meta Lab locations are now booking demos of Meta Ray-Ban Display, starting in Los Angeles and Burlingame with availability in Las Vegas and NYC to follow.”
Meta will also enable customizations of its wearables at its Labs stores, while it will also be selling limited edition versions of its Ray-Ban Meta glasses.
The stores will also include showcases of its latest VR devices and metaverse experiences.
It could be a good opportunity to check out what these latest devices have to offer, and get your hands on the new Display glasses before making a purchase. And again, with Christmas coming up, you can bet that many tech enthusiasts will have Meta AI glasses on their wish lists.
Meta’s new retail pop-ups will be open from:
- Las Vegas – In the Wynn Las Vegas from October 16
- Los Angeles - On Melrose Avenue from October 24
- New York – On 5th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan from November 3rd
Meta’s existing retail store, in Burlingame, California, remains open from last year.
In addition to these projects, Meta says that it’s also planning to launch a series of micro-stores with similar concepts in future.
