Ooma received some of the best launch coverage of a new company in my recent memory. I wrote about them getting a sweet write-up from Walt Mossberg when they launched. Lately, people have been saying they are headed for the deadpool.

Om Malik is saying there may be light, but the image above is from their site right now (and it's not a good sign). Om's a smart guy, maybe he, Andrew and Ashton know what's up.
The basic problem is that people aren't seeing the value in paying for expensive hardware to get cheap phone calls. In my experience people don't like to pay now for future savings.

PS - According to one of the stories linked above Ooma is no longer working with Outcast PR that helped them get all that crazy press coverage.
