Pinterest has announced a new carousel ad format, which enables advertisers to include up to five images within one ad "to tell great stories on Pinterest."
As you can see from the video, the new Pin carousels look like normal Pins within the main feed, but with a series of grey dots underneath, signifying that there are multiple images within it. You can scroll through those images within the stream, or you can click onto the Pin and swipe across to see the full images.

Each card within the carousel can feature a different image, title, description and landing page, providing a whole new range of options for Pin advertisers.
Carousel ads have proven successful on Instagram and Facebook, and LinkedIn added its own variation earlier this year. On Pinterest, you can imagine the option will prove beneficial, both for users and advertisers, providing a non-intrusive way to better showcase more elements of a highlighted product via interactive means.
Pinterest's Carousel ads are now available for all business accounts.
