Creating products for people is about 3 concepts for me, we need to address all 3 to create brand engagement.
The Mind
The Heart
The Gut
Indeed I believe you could say this for all walks of life. So what do I mean well
- The mind needs to see that your product or service makes sense to them. Does the value make sense, does the design, does match expectations?
- The heart needs to be drawn to it. Does it draw you in, does it attract your attention, does it appeal to you?
- The gut needs to look at the substance of the deal and the product. Does it feel right, does benefit outweigh risk, is it fit for purpose?
For me companies focus on one area to the detriment of the others. Often the design outweighs the substance or the substance outweighs the design?
