Mary Ellen Egan is a veteran journalist with more than 20 years of experience as a reporter and editor. She cut her journalistic teeth as an investigative reporter at alternative weekly in Minneapolis, and moved to New York in 2000 to work at Forbes as a reporter. Mary Ellen worked her way up to the Chief of Reporters spot at Forbes a role she relished for more than four years, and then became the Managing Editor of ForbesWoman. Following that distinguished position, she was the front-of-the-book editor for The American Lawyer magazine, and as a result, loves a good lawyer joke.
