At last month's The Social Shake-Up, Brian Solis, Principal Analyst at Altimeter Group, and Robin Carey, CEO of Social Media Today, discussed where social business is headed. Solis posited that social business is more of a philosophical undertaking than a business strategy. He believes social is about relationships and a human approach to business, and fears that practitioners of social get too caught up in tools, trends and technologies. "Relationships matter," he says. "The trick is how do you get people to talk and share?"
