Google Chrome extensions enhances your functionality of your Google Chrome browser. In the same way WordPress plugins do for WordPress platform. And the Google Chrome browser is the safest browser around (along with sleek and web faster). Check out the 6 best Google Chrome extensions every blogger or online marketer needs for social media sharing.
By the way, the Google Chrome browser really is the safest around. This year, Google bet $20,000, at the Pwn2Own annual security showdown, there wasn't a hacker who could that you couldn't crack into Chrome. Guess what? Three years in a row, Google Chrome's sandbox feature left the browser untouchable!
AddThis
With on click, AddThis allows you to instantly share and bookmark web pages, blogs, videos and any other content to popular destinations. Currently supported services include: Blogger, Delicious, Digg, Facebook, FriendFeed, Google Bookmarks, Mixx, and many more!
Bit.ly
Bit.ly links to your bit.ly account, shortens your url, sets up a Tweet (post title and bit.ly link), and you can send it straight to services like Twitter or Facebook. Or you have the option to just copy the bit.ly link and use as you chose.
Buffer
Buffer for Chrome is the accompanying extension for Buffer. Buffer helps you tweet more consistently in just 3 simple steps. One, chose times to tweet (or by default the buffer is set for peak tweeting times). Two, Add tweets to your buffer by using the extension. Three, let the Buffer do its work.
The difference between Buffer and Bit.ly, Buffer allows you to schedule or space out the times you send your tweets.
Amplify
Amplify is my favorite tool for sharing content (but you already knew that)! With Amplify you can clip specific parts of articles or blog posts you read on the web and add your own take before sharing them on Twitter, Facebook and more. Then lets you share your thoughts on any page, paragraph, image or video you find on the web and post them directly to Facebook, Tumblr, WordPress, Posterous, Friendfeed, delicious, diigo, Plurk and others.
Google Share Button
Google Share Button for Chrome lets you easily share webpages with friends, just like Share in Google toolbar. I am so jazzed to find this, because now I can keep using Chrome as apposed to Firefox (don't get me wrong, both are great browsers). Click the Share button and select your desired service from the drop-down menu. Find more services by clicking the "view more services".
Digg
This is the official Digg extension allows you to easily Digg your favorite content. The Digg count for any URL is displayed at the right of the extension. And with the Digg extension you can share the content via Twitter, Facebook and email. There is an added feature, much like StumbeUpon, selecting the Random button will lead you to discovering great new content!
