If you've noticed that my posting schedule has been a bit erratic this week, you might have already assumed that I am cranking away at the work that pays my bills. And you'd be right. I promise to get back on track soon with, among other things, further thoughts on Beyond Knowledge and the Connections Economy.
But for now, I have a thing or two to say about the work that's keeping me busy.
A couple of days back, we launched My ooVoo Day and the response so far has been great. But a tweet by Mitch Joel (one of the participants) got me thinking - this was the tweet:
"Why is no one signing up to talk with Bob Garfield at My ooVoo Day? Makes no sense to me."
Good point, Mitch. If you're even remotely interested in playing with new technology or chatting with interesting people, I'd encourage you to sign up and take part. But if, on top of that, you work in media or marketing (I'd wager that that's most of you), three hosts stand out as particularly interesting options:
Bob Garfield from Advertising Age, long-time media industry pundit Jack Myers and outspoken ad industry critic George Parker. These guys have been around the block a few times and are loaded with valuable lessons about business, marketing, media and more. I think a few minutes with any of these guys will be time well spent; they're practically industry legends...
But maybe marketing isn't your thing - or you prefer to learn your marketing lessons from one of the many social media "youngsters" that are hosting My ooVoo Day sessions. Then how about a chat with Allan Cox, a published author, expert on leadership and well regarded CEO coach? Don't let the gray hair fool you - if you want to know what separates the leaders from the followers, you should get to know Allan.
OK - that's the end of my sales pitch. Visit MyooVooDay.com to sign up.
