The number of blogs on the net now exceeds 100 million and growing. Blogs have become the new media of expression by individuals and institutions throughout the world.
Bloggers like to see increased traffic, comment ratios and links over time. These points of reference suggest that just maybe what one is writing about has relevance to an audience that gets something from the effort.
Bloggers get rewarded from their work not from economic returns, for there is little, rather from being rated by the blogging community as credible, popular and having expert insights.
What Did This Friday's Report Have to Say?
I awoke this morning at my usual wee hours of the morning to read the latest and greatest as well as prepare for my next series of thoughts. My Google alert showed my blog mentioned is a report titled Top 142 Social Marketing Blogs on the Web and I clicked over to read the story.
Jack Humphrey writes today in Friday's Traffic Report Below is the most complete list I've ever seen of the top social marketing blogs. We created it because it is a list that is much needed by marketers who want to get great news, opinions, and insights by credible, popular bloggers and experts in social marketing.
If you could put a dollar value on the information shared across all these sites it would impossible for most people to afford. Luckily, you can access all these sites and keep up on social marketing trends and news for free.
The sites are not ranked in any particular order, nor did I come up with a complicated algorithm to sort and sift them into any order of importance. They all have something to share and they are all popular sites with their own following, large and small.
Enjoy this big resource!
One out of over 100 Million
Blogging is a labor of love for a subject matter, a developing market trend or a passion for the possibilities created by new phenomena. When a blogger shares their perspective on such topics and others what to hear it, whether they agree or not, it demonstrates respect for the time and effort it took to share.
I don't claim to be the best writer, the top expert or technically astute enough to know all the tricks of the new trade. I am just one of over 100 million individuals who have a passion in expressing what they see happening and sharing perspectives of the ever changing dynamics created by the intersection of human behavior and technology.
As Doc Searls said ten years ago, "markets are conversations" and there is real satisfaction when "the market of conversations" responds with any form of appreciation for your contribution to the conversation.
My two blog (The Relationship Economy & Socialutions) made the list of the top 142 blogs on the web. Social Media Today and a list of members who blog also made the list. Thanks for considering whatever contribution we can make worthy of your response and time.
