Lee Odden of Top Rank Blog is conducting a poll on which Internet marketing tactics are most favored for 2009.
Blogging is the #1 tactic - supporting the findings of the HubSpot study. Hubspot queried 167 respondents. Of those asked, 75% said their blogging activities where "useful", "important" and "critical" to their businesses' survivability. And in this economic climate many businesses are in 'survive mode.'
Twitter is a close second in the Top Rank survey with Search Engine Optimization right behind that. Next comes social networking followed by social media monitoring and outreach. Interesting that Twitter beat out Facebook - perhaps in the near future Twitter will replace Facebook as the #1 social site.
So where do you engage? And what sites should you be monitoring?
It's a jungle out there and without a strategy you're likely to make errors and take the wrong path.
