It's the "what have you been up to" edition.
As many of you know, I've spent the last few months on hiatus from "real work" and yet, I've still managed to stay busy. Here are some links to my pet projects.
YAP
After starting the Young Association Professionals Facebook group with a fabulous group of YAPers, YAP is beginning to blossom. We're closing in on 200 members, and we're getting ready to launch a website just for YAP. You are hereby invited to beta test yapstar.org.
Social Tech Survey
I'm working with Ben Martin and Jeff De Cagna of Principled Innovation on the Social Tech Survey which recently closed. Now, we're working on analyzing the results and writing a fabulous report that you will most definitely want to pre-order.
Association Social Media Wiki
I've been working to implement Jeff's vision for a new and improved wiki that will serve as a comprehensive listing of associations using social media. OK, I may have added a little vision of my own, and now it's your turn to add a little vision. If your association is using social media, go to http://associationsocialmedia.com/ and add or update your group's page.
Fun
Here are a few more things that have been keeping me out of trouble (or getting me into trouble, depending on how you look at it.)
- Video blogging on PITV.
- Writing a guest post for Saul Colt - The Smartest Man in the World.
- Preparing to guest blog the ASAE & The Center Annual Meeting on Acronym
- Meeting cool people, including one very fabulous Olympic gymnast who everyone in the universe knows for her Gold medal heroics.
- And oh yeah, I've been writing an article with Mads that we hope you'll find in Associations Now this fall.
