As demonstrated at its Connect presentation last week, Meta is very excited about the potential of its Muse AI agents, which enable users to task its artificial intelligence-powered system with various functions that can be undertaken on the users’ behalf.
That could open up a range of efficiencies, especially for creators, with the Muse system plugged into Meta’s systems, and therefore able to provide potentially valuable guidance on trends and content posting processes.
In line with this, Instagram recently shared a basic overview of how Muse can assist in content creation and IG management.

As shown in this sequence, once a creator has approved Muse to access their Instagram info, the bot can then provide strategic recommendations and tips.
Muse can alert creators to collaboration opportunities, and provide analysis of those offers matched against industry averages. It can also provide a creative playbook to help guide IG strategy,
Creators can even ask Muse what it can assist with if they don’t know where it can help.
Muse can also provide helpful account and action summaries, and set regular reminder notes from Muse to keep creators across evolving elements.

There’s a range of ways the agents could be of value, especially given that Muse is directly integrated into Instagram and Facebook, and can therefore provide official data and insights from across the platform.
That is, if creators feel comfortable allowing an agent to work on their behalf. Muse usage does come with a level of risk, in that empowering an AI bot to do things could also lead to penalties if it were to post something that violates IG rules, or access information it shouldn’t.
Meta’s Muse bot shouldn’t do anything like this, and users can set up an approval process to ensure it doesn’t take action without checking in first. But building trust in the bots is the most significant hurdle for Meta in maximizing Muse adoption.
