Pinterest announced a range of new discovery innovations at its annual Pinterest Presents event today. The platform is adding multiple features, including visual search ads, artificial intelligence-powered restyle options for home décor, and a new season of its CTV show.
First, Pinterest announced visual search ads, which will let advertisers place promotions in Pinterest search results and Pin close-ups.

As shown in this example, the placement will display paid promotions within visual search responses, providing more contextually relevant matches for image-based discovery.
This could be valuable for brands, because Pinterest also reported that it now facilitates more than 80 billion searches per month, and the vast majority of them are visual.
Pinterest’s visual search ads will be available in beta in selected markets over the next few weeks.
Pinterest also announced updates to its AI-powered Performance+ campaigns, including Priority Products, which will give advertisers more control over the products they want to highlight. The app is also rolling out self-serve A/B testing to better measure the option’s potential.
In addition, Pinterest is adding an app promotion option, which will help developers optimize for app installs.
In terms of functional updates for regular users, Pinterest announced a new restyle option, which will let Pinners use AI to reimagine a space, test ideas and compare home décor options.

This will generate multiple ideas based on different styles and products, which could help to provide relevant visual context ahead of potential purchases.
Restyle will launch in the U.S. and Canada over the coming weeks.
Finally, Pinterest announced a new season of its “Bring My Pinterest to Life” CTV series, which sees stylists look to turn people’s Pin ideas into real-life experiences and items.

The first season of the show aired earlier this year on Roku TV, and the second season should follow a similar, creator-led format, providing more context for how Pinterest-listed items relate to real-world experiences.
