We were down in Florida visiting family, and out walking the dog when a lady drove up to us, rolled down her window, and asked:
"Do you want my card for my dog-sitting services?"
Struck. By a drive-by marketer...
At first, I was a little weirded out by her approach. It is not often someone pitches me out of a car window. But then I found myself smiling about it, thinking it was rather clever. And kinda funny...
Not sure if we happened to be walking through her neighborhood... Or if she was out on the prowl looking for dog walkers (which would kind
of be strange).
But why would that be strange?
Why NOT go direct to your targeted audience? Why not use this type of "direct marketing" tactic?
What do you think? It is really so wrong to go direct to your prospects? Tell me what you think about this approach....
And more importantly, what kind of guerrilla marketing tactics can you do with your business?
