That's Annette Funicello and in 1955, when I was a 12-year-old kid living on a dirt farm on a high lonesome ridge in southern West Virginia, I was in love with her. Every 12-year-old in America (and some considerably older, nudge, nudge, wink wink) was in love with her. Many years later I wrote a book (long out of print) about the members of the "original" Mickey Mouse Club (not your phony Mouseketeers like your Brittany and Christina and Justin).
