TikTok announced new activations for Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. The latest round of partnerships and promotions includes a showcase of a new set of creators as part of the platform’s in-app celebrations.
As explained by TikTok: “We’re honoring creators, families, and communities who celebrate and share Hispanic and Latino heritage on TikTok through storytelling, tradition, language, and lived experiences. From cultural customs to historical figures, #HispanicTikTok continues to be a space where people can celebrate and share their stories.”
TikTok said it will invite users to participate in various themed activations, and it’s also running a competition to further promote participation and engagement.
The main focus, however, will be TikTok’s Hispanic creator showcase. This includes a range of creators including journalist Fernando Hurtado, musician Jasmine Wesley and comedian Eric Sedeño.

TikTok will publish interviews with each creators via the TikTok Creators profile, and will also post thematic content under the #HispanicTikTok, #LatinTikTok, #HispanicHeritageTikTokContest and #CasaTikTok hashtags.
TikTok is keen to highlight the contributions of different communities in the app, as well as shine a spotlight on the role the platform plays in amplifying these creators and bringing value to historically marginalized groups.
As such, Hispanic Heritage Month provides another opportunity to showcase specific communities and solidify the platform’s connection with different user groups.
