The Most Important Ways to Protect Your Privacy on Facebook [Infographic]
Facebook is a vast world of communication, networking, news sharing, photo sharing, and more, and all of this passing back and forth of information poses significant privacy risks.
Yet, despite their best intentions, even the most diligent Facebook user probably doesn't use the network's privacy settings to their full potential. Whenever a new user signs up on its platform, Facebook collects a number of details including contact information, where you are, what you like and share, the frequency and duration of your activities, and more.
Though Facebook does offer customizable privacy settings, many active users don't take advantage of them to protect all of that information. In fact, it's estimated that up to 13 million U.S. Facebook users aren't aware of the network's privacy control settings, and don't even use them at all.
Thankfully, there are a number of ways to better control your profile privacy. Check out the infographic below to learn how.
