Here's my gripe! I quit journalism 10 years ago and moved into marketing communications with one of India's largest software companies. Two years later, I set up my own business and have managed to gather quite a few clients, many of them among the largest companies in the world.
Many of my clients consider me a small player, which is ok, in fact I position my small size as an advantage in terms of being able to give a lot of attention to my clients, as well as something that helps us deliver at lightning speeds. But, WE ARE NOT CHEAP!
Yet, quite of few of my new prospective customers seem to think so, and I waste several hours negotiating with stingy purchase executives whose main purpose in life seem to be to save a couple of bucks for their fat corporations.
Do any of you have the same problem? How do you overcome it?
