Facebook just became an even bigger tool for businesses with the quiet and recent release of their new insights tab for page administrators featuring "Likes," "Reach," and "Talking About This." Page admins now have access to more organized and detailed analytics about fan interaction and engagement on Facebook Pages.
Why the New Facebook Insights for Admins Should Matter to Your Business
In my opinion the greatest aspect of the new and improved insights is the simplicity and clarity that accompanies the layout and structure of information. The constant issue with metrics is actually converting and integrating substantial data into building business strategy.
Unfortunately many business still don't understand that social media strategy in our era IS business strategy. Consumers, potential clients, and future customers are constantly posting information not only about themselves but about their experiences, good and bad.
We live in a society where people are more inclined than ever to openly share the most personal tidbits about themselves. It is up to you as a business owner and entrepreneur to tap into that information and listen to the social conversation.
Why I Love It
- Though Facebook has had insights in the past, the information was very limited causing social media mangers and Page admins to turn to social media monitoring tools like Radian6 for the data they needed.
- All of the analytics is broken down in visualization format. This is both easy on the eye and a great way for organization information.
- Driving traffic has never been so accessible before. With these new analytics, Facebook is serving up data that actually matters.
- Professionalism. This tool was made with businesses in mind and I commend Facebook on the quality and organization of their analytics.
- So much information! There is actually so much to take in, each component should be dissected to build the best strategy for a particular client. This is in my opinion, awesome. Information is power and page Admins can now make more knowledgeable decisions in social media tactics.
There is so much to take in with the new Facebook analytics. I recommend that all businesses and social media managers take the time to sit down and learn how to leverage this tool for your Facebook Marketing and community managing strategies.
