Twitter is one of the best ways to get your information in front of what can be millions and millions of people!! Want to see the power of Twitter? I was so shocked when I heard this story!
Okay, think of a newer pop song that you have probably not only heard way to many times but because of funny YouTube, Facebook and Pinterest jokes you've probably seen references to the song... way too many times..... Can you guess what song I'm thinking of?
Alright, it's the "Call Me Maybe" song by Carly Rae Jepsen.
Despite what you think of the song, it is EVERYWHERE!! Do you know how her song went viral so fast?
It was all because of one simple tweet!
Ha yeah, Carly Rae Jepsen became super famous when Justin Bieber sent one little tweet to his, get this.... nearly 30,000,000 twitter followers!!!
Heck, out of that many people you are bound to get thousands of people who would love what you have to offer. In Carly's case, her "Call Me Maybe" song.
Think about it, if just 10% of these people liked this song, that's still 3,000,000 people! When Justin tweeted about Carly, pretty much any song or video that had anything to do with her went viral within 24 hours! What marketer wouldn't want millions to sell to!!?
Okay, so you don't have 30 million followers but you can still increase the number of people who see your posts by simply making sure followers are not missing your tweets!
You need to tweet about your service several times a day! If someone is following you as well as 50 other people (normally it's hundreds more) and each one of those people tweet something at least once a day, including yourself, then there is a good chance your tweet isn't even going to be seen.
It takes someone about 7 times of viewing a commercial before the viewer actually pays attention to it and feels it will benefit them. So the more they see you showing up on their Twitter homepage the more people will begin to actually click on the links within your posts!
But who has time or even wants to be trying to tweet something 10, 15, 20, or even over 25 times a day? Definitely not me! I can use my time so much more productively. Instead, spend an hour or two a week to set up all your tweets.
There are services out there that allow you to schedule your tweets in advance and will automatically post your tweets when you planned them! If you are consistent with these automated tweets you will save so much time and make more money.
Ways To Automate Your Tweets:
Gremln
This is my favorite service! It is organized to make things so easy for any user. Not only can you use Gremln to automatically update your Twitter account but you can schedule updates for other social media sites as well!
Sites like Facebook, Facebook pages, LinkedIn or even to specific groups within LinkedIn. And it's for FREE!! There are upgrades you can buy that are extremely helpful but you have what you need to automate your Twitter account within the free service.
HootSuite
If you knew Seesmic then you probably now know that HootSuite took it over. This is very similar to Gremln regarding the services it has. I don't quite like the set up as much but it still is a great free automated social media service.
Socialoomph
Another option for the automated media! For me this site is a little harder then the other two to operate but it still gets the job done. It just took a little longer for me to figure out how to do things when I was first learning about it.
Twuffer
If all you want is an automated system just for Twitter than Twuffer is perfect.
It is super easy to use and it's another free one.
Using an automated Twitter service can really help bring attention to whatever it is you want to market. It helps you concentrate on more important things instead of having to constantly update your Twitter status manually. Use automated services!
P.S. I will focus on helping you get more Twitter followers in a future post (ha I can't promise 30 million, that's a ridiculous amount). I will also help you know what you can actually tweet that will benefit you when your tweeting over ten times a day.
P.S.S. Hey, who guessed the song right? If you guessed it right you win 100 points.
