After launching in Brazil last month, Meta is expanding access to Pocket,, which enables users to generate simple apps and games using artificial intelligence prompts.
According to TechCrunch, Meta is making the Pocket app available to all U.S. users as it continues to push its evolving AI tools.

As shown in these examples, Pocket allows users to vibe code simple apps, which it calls gizmos, which can then be shared in-stream.
As per the app’s Google Play Store description: “Pocket is a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos. A gizmo is a small interactive experience you can tap and touch… and you can make a gizmo just by describing it.”
So it’s mostly for games that can be generated from conversational prompts using basic formatting and structures.
Pocket users can also scroll through a feed of gizmos that have been created by other users, and can like and comment on these projects, which can help to raise awareness of the best inventions.
The AI creation app stems from Meta’s acquisition of Gizmo in March. As reported by Business Insider, Gizmo was originally launched in 2024 and enabled users to vibe code apps and games into existence using AI tools to build out the basic structure of the system, which other users could then test and build upon.
So essentially, Gizmo wanted to tap into the vibe coding shift with a dedicated app that made it easier to speak any game or process into existence.
It's an interesting concept, and clearly, Meta sees this as another opportunity to raise hype about its AI tools and get more people experimenting with AI app generation.
Though as with all AI creation options, the key still lies in the concept. While creation may be simpler, coming up with a compelling idea remains as difficult as always.
But Pocket will give people a means to experiment, which could be a valuable option for those looking to bring their ideas to life, and see what Meta’s AI tools can produce.
