A few weeks back James Johnson, Site Editor at InternetEvolution.com, contacted me to ask if I'd contribute to ThinkerNet, a moderated blog network of Internet experts (much like our local ThoughtLeader.co.za).
I was pretty honoured to be asked, and then when I saw the list of people I'd be writing with I was positively blown away - the list of bloggers in the network is pretty much a who's who of influential social media and technology commentators from around the world. Rohit Bhargava, Robert Scoble, David Weinberger, Mark Shuttleworth, Maggie Fox, Cory Doctorow and more - it's a serious privilege to be considered amongst these significant minds.
I'd like to position my blog on the site as representative of happenings on our continent and in South Africa specifically, highlighting the proliferation of talent and potential we have. If you have anything you'd like me to pick up on, research and post up there I'd love to hear it - I see this as a great opportunity to solidify the SA and African Web communities as powerful contributors to the global movement.
