Brendan Hodgson is the last speaker of the day (thank god).
It's kind of hard to report on Brendan's presentation as he's showing us a series of examples of how companies are now in the hands of consumers and citizen journalists when a crisis hits. The biggest change in the last 12 months, he says, is that bloggers now know that companies are watching and listening to them. I agree.
He explains some interesting models for mapping social media onto crises and the entire crisis and issues management lifecycle. If only anyone was awake enough to take it in (it's gone midnight in UK money so I'm flagging before I get my second wind). This is arguably one of the most useful sessions of the day - and Brendan didn't pay me to say that.
And with that, day one comes to a close. We've had 9 hours of social media talk - now let's have some socialising!
