Facebook has published a new report which looks at the evolving consumer fashion purchasing journey, and the role that social platforms can and do now play within that process.
As per Facebook:
"From the growth of the resale market to increasing concerns with industry-wide sustainability, people are having their say in how fashion moves forward. And thanks to the integration of mobile and social media into everyday life, they now have greater control over where, when and how they shop."
To help marketers tap into these rising trends, Facebook commissioned a survey of 1,729 people in the US, aged 18 and over, about their fashion purchasing process. Facebook has also commissioned similar reports for Canada, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Australia, India, Indonesia and Brazil - you can view each regional variation from this post.
Their findings for US shoppers are presented in the infographic below - some key insights for those looking to reach buyers as we head into the holiday season.
