The use of voice search is on the rise, fueled by the adoption of smart speaker devices in the home and the broader take-up of voice query tools among younger users in particular.
Research shows that sales of smart speaker devices, like Amazon Echo and Google Home, are set to see a 50% increase in 2019, while comScore has estimated that more than 50% of searches will be voice-based by 2020. Definitely, Google's data shows that there's been a significant increase in voice-originated searches, indicative of a broader trend - and even if voice search doesn't reach the heights expected (50% of searches by next year seems ambitious), it's clear that this is an area of growth to consider.
So how can you optimize your website and content to align with the rise in voice search?
That's the focus of this new infographic from MDG Advertising, which looks at the key trends, and suggests ways in which you can evolve your SEO strategies in-step. The impact will be different for each business, of course, but it is worth considering.
