Andisheh Nouraee over at Creative Loafing was an early promoter of the #atlgas hashtag I started last year on Twitter to help Atlanta citizens find gas available during our fuel shortage.
Over on the Fresh Loaf blog today, he brought to my attention that Twitter co-founder, Biz Stone, responded to criticisms by New York Times column today, Maureen Dowd, "against the criticism that its merely a tool for self-absorbed yuppies to share mundane details of their lives with other self-absorbed yuppies," by listing examples of Twitter's utility as an medium for serious, emergency communication â€" including reference to the #atlgas hashtag.
Dowd's interview with both Stone and fellow co-founder, Evan Williams, is pretty amusing. Check it out regardless of your level of Twitter adoration.
