The conversation can be deafening, like the screaming buzz of a stadium at the peak of a rock concert. Other times the conversation is mute, like exchanged smiles on the jogging path. Friendly gestures or screaming anguish, it's conversation that literally defines our humanity.
Good conversation can be traced to antiquity if not on record, then surely in our ability to relate our dreams. Demons and deities are defined as much as defeated in conversations, as are stars and sunsets, love and ladybugs, in relation of our experiences.
Conversations? Friends, we should be so lucky to make our wears worthy of relation amongst those with whom we speak. Remember, it's an honor to be talked about and a fragile sign of respect to be engaged. Trust that respect, or suffer the deafening silence of conversation that does not include you.
Join the Conversation - A good dialog is not hard to find if you start by listening.
This post inspired by Joseph Jaffee's new community blog and book "Join the Conversation".
